Speaker biography

Alessandra Perrazzelli is Vice President of A2A since May 2017. From September 2013 to December 2017, Alessandra was Country Manager of Barclays in Italy. She repositioned the Bank on the market, restructuring the business non core and selling the retail franchise.

She served on the Board of Azienda Trasporti Milanese (ATM) from 2011 to 2017 where she was engaged in the relaunch and restructuring of the company at the time of EXPO 2015. Previously, Alessandra was Head of International Regulatory Relations in the Intesa Sanpaolo Group and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Eurodesk. Alessandra started her career as a business lawyer and she worked for many years in top law firms both in New York and Brussels.

From 2010 to 2013 she was Founder and President of Valore D, an association of leading companies aimed at supporting women in top positions and promoting talent in organizations. In her capacity, Alessandra had a strong role in changing the culture of the Country in relation to the advancement of women. She continues to be a well known advocate for equality in the work place. She also founded and promoted Project Gemma to enhance women talent within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group.

In 2014 she was shortlisted for the “Rising Star” prize in Barclays, recognition given to people less than two years in the organization, who contribute to bring innovation in business, with the specific aim of increasing more inclusion and diversity. In 2007, Alessandra was awarded the prestigious “Premio Bellisario” in Italy, in 2004  she was mentioned among the best 100 antistrust and corporate lawyers by Global Competition Review.

Alessandra graduaded cum laude from the Genoa University Law School and the New York University Law School.
